The short version: we keep as little as we can, we don't sell it, and you can delete it yourself any time.
What we keep when you make an account
You don't need an account to watch anything. If you make one, we keep:
- Your email address.
- Your password, scrambled with a one-way hash (scrypt). We can't see the actual password.
- The date you signed up and the last time you signed in.
- The last part you opened in each series, so we can save your spot.
- Whether you asked for new-series emails.
- That you ticked the box saying you're 13 or older.
Cookies
Two small cookies: one keeps you signed in, one protects our forms from being submitted by other websites. No tracking cookies, no outside analytics, no ad pixels.
What we don't keep
We count visits on our own server: page views, plays, and how many different people visited each day. That daily count uses a scrambled code that's made fresh every day and can't be turned back into an IP address, and none of it goes to anyone else.
We don't keep logs of your IP address. If you're not signed in, we don't keep anything about what you watch. To stop password-guessing, the server briefly remembers recent sign-in attempts in memory; that's wiped within an hour and never saved.
Where it lives
On a computer we run ourselves, not a big cloud service. Nobody else gets a copy.
Who we share it with
No one. We don't sell or rent emails. If we ever add ads, this page gets updated first and says exactly what changes.
Only if you tick "Email me when a new series starts", and only for that. You can turn it off on your Account page any time, and every email will have an unsubscribe link.
Kids under 13
Accounts are for people 13 and up. If we find out an account belongs to someone younger, we delete it.
Deleting your stuff
Go to Account, then Delete my account. Your email and password are erased right then. Stuck? DM us on Instagram.
